What is Vitamin D3(Cholecalciferol)?

Vitamin D3, also known as Cholecalciferol, is a kind of vitamin D. The 7-dehydrocholesterol produced after cholesterol dehydrogenation can be irradiated with ultraviolet rays to form Cholecalciferol. Therefore, the original vitamin D of Cholecalciferol is 7 - Dehydrocholesterol. Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) is mainly synthesized by the human body itself. The skin of the human body contains a kind of cholesterol, which becomes vitamin D3 after being exposed to sunlight. In addition, vitamin D3 can also come from animal foods, such as liver, especially cod liver oil extracted from fish liver of seafood. Vitamin D3 is a vitamin drug that mainly promotes the absorption and deposition of calcium and phosphorus in the intestine and is used for the treatment of rickets and osteomalacia.

Production Process

 

Solvent Tank: Put C(Vitamin D3), Vitamin E, and vegetable oil into the solvent tank to form a solution, preparing for subsequent processing steps.

Emulsification Tank (CCP1): Mix the Vitamin D3 solution with purified water, sodium starch octenyl succinate, gum arabic, maltodextrin, and sodium ascorbate in the emulsification tank and perform emulsification. This disperses Vitamin D3 in the aqueous phase, enhancing its stability and processability.

Filtration and Homogenization: Pass the emulsified Vitamin D3 solution through a 120-mesh filter screen for filtration and homogenization. This removes impurities and solid particles, making the solution more uniform and stable.

Spray Drying: Subject the filtered and homogenized Vitamin D3 solution to spray drying, rapidly drying the particles into powder form. This improves the storage stability of Vitamin D3 and facilitates packaging and use.

Mixing: Mix the spray-dried Vitamin D3 powder with tricalcium phosphate to enhance the quality and functionality of the product.

Sieving: Pass the mixed Vitamin D3 powder through a 40-mesh sieve screen for sieving, removing clumps or impurities between particles to ensure product uniformity and quality.

Metal Detection (CCP2): Use a metal detection device to inspect the sieved Vitamin D3 powder, ensuring it is free from metal impurities and compliant with food safety standards.

Weighing and Packaging: Weigh and package the metal-detected Vitamin D3 powder, packaging it according to a specified weight or volume using sealed containers or packaging bags.

Testing: Conduct quality testing on the weighed and packaged Vitamin D3 product, including analysis of content, purity, solubility, stability, etc., to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.

Warehousing: Store the tested and qualified Vitamin D3 product in the warehouse. Prior to warehousing, appropriate labeling, and recording are typically performed to ensure traceability and management of the product.
