What is Vitamin B1?
Vitamin B1, also known as thiamine or anti-neuritis hormone, is synthesized by fungi, microorganisms, and plants, while animals and humans can only obtain it from food. Vitamin B1 is mainly present in the outer skin and germ of seeds, such as rice bran and bran, which are abundant in content, and also extremely abundant in yeast. Thiamine often appears in the form of its hydrochloride and has the function of maintaining normal glucose metabolism and nerve conduction.
Formylation reaction: The amino propionitrile, methyl formate, and sodium methoxide are mixed and reacted to form the formylation intermediate of thiamine.
Separate: The reaction mixture is separated to obtain the formylation intermediate.
Drying: The formylation intermediate is dried to remove solvents and water.
Dissolved titration: The formylation intermediate is dissolved, and a certain amount of acid or base solution is added dropwise for titration.
Cyclization reaction: By adding ortho-chloroaniline and hydrochloric acid under appropriate conditions, the formylation intermediate is converted into thiamine through a cyclization reaction.
Separate and wash: The reaction mixture is separated, and impurities are removed through washing.
Drying: The obtained thiamine is dried to remove residual solvents and water.
Cyclization reaction: The dried thiamine is subjected to another cyclization reaction by adding ethylamine hydrochloride and sodium methoxide to improve the yield.
Hydrolysis reaction: The cyclized thiamine is hydrolyzed by adding appropriate sodium hydroxide and methanol.
Condensation reaction: The hydrolyzed thiamine undergoes a condensation reaction with chlorine, ethyl acetoacetate, sodium bicarbonate, carbon disulfide, and sodium hydroxide to form the condensation product of thiamine.
Cyclization reaction: The condensation product is converted into thiamine through a cyclization reaction by adding hydrochloric acid under suitable conditions.
Neutralization reaction: The reaction mixture is neutralized by adding a sufficient amount of liquid alkali for neutralization.
Oxidizing reaction: Under appropriate conditions, hydrogen peroxide is added to the neutralized mixture for oxidation, obtaining pure thiamine.
Decoloration: Adsorbents or activated carbon are added to remove pigments and impurities from thiamine, making it more pure.
Fine filter: The thiamine solution is finely filtered to remove residual impurities and solid particles, and the pressure is controlled within a specific range (CCP1 critical limit).
Neutral reaction: Ammonia water and nitric acid are added to the filtered thiamine solution for neutralization, adjusting its pH.
Separate: The neutralized thiamine solution is separated to obtain pure thiamine.
Thiamine mononitrate: Thiamine solution undergoes a nitration reaction to produce thiamine mononitrate.
Transfer reaction: Acid methanol is added to the thiamine mononitrate for transformation into other forms of thiamine hydrochloride.
Separate and wash: The transformed thiamine hydrochloride is separated and washed to remove impurities.
Drying: The obtained thiamine hydrochloride is dried to remove solvents and water.
Sieve: The thiamine hydrochloride is sieved to remove solid particles and impurities.
Magnet: Strong magnetic force is used to remove metal impurities from thiamine hydrochloride.
Mixture: The deironed thiamine hydrochloride is mixed with other additives to form the final Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride).
Metal Detector (CCP2): A metal detector is used to check for the presence of metal impurities in the mixture.
Test: Quality testing is conducted on Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride) to ensure compliance with specified standards and regulations.
Packaging: The tested Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride) is packaged using appropriate packaging materials and methods.
Warehouse: The packaged Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride) is stored in a suitable warehouse for further distribution or sale.
Transport: Vitamin B1 (thiamine hydrochloride) is transported to its destination to meet market demand.
