Natamycin (E235)is an anti-fungal compound produced by Streptomyces fermentation. Except inhibiting the g rowth of various molds and yeasts, Natamycin can also reduce the production of mycotoxins s. As a food preservative, it's usually used in cheese, cakes and other foods.Natamycin has no o inhibitory effect on bacteria, so it does not affect the natural maturation process of yogurt cheese, raw ham, dry sausage.

3.Safety:In June 1982,the US FDA officially approved natamycin as a food preservative.In 1996,the China Food Additives Standard Chemical Technical Committee officially approved natamycin as a food preservative. The Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on FoodAdditives stipulates that the human body can unconditionally accept a daily intake of0.3mg of natamycin per kilogram of body weight. JECFA/EC also authorizes approval.
