What is Palmitoyl tripeptide-1?
Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 is a matrikine signaling peptide that acts on the dermis to promote collagen synthesis, and may also increase the production of elastin, hyaluronic acid, glycosaminoglycan and fibroconin, making the skin firmer, lips fuller, skin hydrated, and facial skin full and elastic. Wrinkles are stretched, the ability to resist ultraviolet radiation is stronger, and its effect can achieve the cosmetic effect of collagen injection. The biggest reason for wrinkles and skin relaxation is the reduction of human collagen synthesis, the loss of water flow, and the weakening of the skin's self-repair ability, resulting in shrivel and lack of elasticity of the skin.
Characteristics
Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 can repair collagen after ultraviolet (UV) damage. Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 (5mg/ kg) was compared with retinoic acid (500mg/ kg), and it was found that 5mg/kg palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and 500mg/kg retinoic acid had the same effect on increasing the density of collagen fiber and high expression of collagen in the dermis, but palmitoyl tripeptide-1 did not cause skin allergy. Palmitoyl tripeptide-1 acts on TGF-B receptors and stimulates fibroblast proliferation.

Twenty-three healthy female volunteers, divided into placebo and palmitoyl tripeptide-1 treatment groups, applied a cream containing 4ppm palmitoyl tripeptide-1 to the surface of the skin once a day for four weeks.
