Monk fruit extract is a natural plant extract extracted from Luo Han Guo (also known as Podocarpus). Monk fruit extract is a white to light yellow to brown powder. It tastes extremely sweet, with a sweetness exceeding 240 times that of sucrose. The sweetness is close to that of sugar, and it has an aftertaste slightly similar to licorice. The melting point of high-purity mogroside is 197~201ºC. Easily soluble in water and ethanol.
