Natamycin (E235)is an anti-fungal compound producedby Streptomyces fermentation. Except inhibiting the growth of various molds and yeasts.Natamycin can also reduce the production of mycotoxins. As a food preservative, it's usuallyused in cheese, cakes and other foods.Natamycin has no inhibitory effect on bacteria, so itdoes not affect the natura maturation process of yogurt, cheese, raw ham, dry sausage.

1.Recommended dosage: 0.01-0.3g/kg, the residual amount is less than 10mg/kg;
2.It can be made into 0.1% alcohol suspension and sprayed on the surface;
3.It can also be formulated into a 0.1% water suspension for soaking;
4.Natamycin is insoluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol, and is generally used on food surfaces.

 

1.Natamycin,also known as pimaricin and sometimes sold as Natacyn, is a naturally occurring antifungal agent produced during fermentation by the bacterium Streptomyces natalensis, commonly found in soil. Natamycin has a very low solubility in water.
2.It can effectively protect the contents from oxidation and prolong storage period;  Its transparency corresponds to animal capsule, so that the filled contents are clearly visible;  It doesn't contain animal protein and fat, so that it is hard to breed microorganism and with stable quality;  it doesn't contain animal ingredients, and is free of worries for bovine spongiform encephalopathy, foot-and-mouth disease and other zoonoses;  It is made by nature vegetal materials so that it is with no limit in religion or vegetarian diet.
