both short and long-term mositurizing tests, it shows excellent moisturizing effi cacy.

 

Relieving:

Langerhans cells are important cells that maintain normal immunity of skin cells.

Ectoin can protect Langerhans cells from external damages and enhance its activity

so as to achieve the effect of relieving external stimulations.

 

Maintenance:

Ectoin has an repairing effect on the damages resulted from uv. the higher the concentration,the stronger the reparing effect is.

improve tobacco hyperosmotic stress tolerance:
 

In this experiment, ecdoin synthesis gene was transferred into tobacco cells for expression, and tobacco cells were subjected to hyperosmotic stress under 0, 100, 200 and 300mm mannitol.

 

It was found that in the medium containing 200 or 300mm mannitol, the clonal cells showed a significant growth advantage over the original cells.

 

Compared with the medium without mannitol, the concentration of mannitol reduced the growth of primitive cells and clonal cells by 50% was 140 and 230mM, respectively. It was believed that the tolerance of clonal cells to hyperosmotic stress caused by mannitol was 1.6 times that of primitive cells
