Sorbic Acid E200 can be used as preservative in the formulation of facial and eye makeup and skin care and hair products in Cosmetics and personal care producucts. Sorbic Acid and Potassium Sorbate kill microorganisms, or prevent or retard their growth and reproduction, and thus protect cosmetics and personal care products from spoilage.
Sorbic acid is widely used in food, beverage, pickles, tobacco, medicine, cosmetics, agricultural products and other industries. Sorbic acid and potassium sorbate are the most widely used preservatives in the world. They have high antibacterial properties and inhibit the growth and reproduction of molds.
