Production Process

Grignard Reaction: Grignard reagent reacts with thioketones to form intermediates, which undergo elimination and rearrangement to generate ketenes, serving as important intermediates in organic synthesis.

Hydrogenation: Ketenes react with hydrogen gas in the presence of a catalyst, undergoing hydrogenation to reduce the carbon-carbon double bond and form corresponding alcohols, ethers, or amines as hydrogenation products.

Debenzylation: Suitable debenzylation reagents or catalysts are introduced to remove the benzyl groups from the hydrogenation products, leading to the formation of corresponding hydroxyl, amino, or thiol compounds, which are then transformed into B salts.

Cyclization: B salts undergo cyclization reaction through heating or the action of catalysts, resulting in the formation of crude D-Biotin structure, which requires further purification to obtain high-purity D-Biotin.

Refine: Through techniques like crystallization, solvent extraction, and chromatography, impurities are removed, and the crude D-Biotin is purified and concentrated to obtain high-purity D-Biotin.

Packing: Refined D-Biotin is accurately weighed and appropriately packaged and labeled to ensure product safety and stability. The finished D-Biotin is sold as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, nutritional supplements, and other end products provided to consumers for use.
